Martinsville Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Martinsville, Indiana.
Martinsville Golf Club first opened for play in 1925 as a nine-hole golf course. The course was designed by Bill Diddle. The nine holes that Bill designed are waht is today the back nine. The first owner was Walter A. Kennedy.
In 1933 Don and Agnes Carmichael came to run the club for Mr. Kennedy. They did so and eventually became the owners and operators. In 1969 Sam and Sue Carmichael were drawn back to the course after a successful career on the PGA Tour. Sam would eventually become the owner/pro and his brother Ron owner/superintendent. This partnership would last for the next 25 years.
In 1970, Sam and Ron decided to build an additional 9 holes. They hired Bob Simmons to design and build what is today the front 9. With much input and hands-on by Sam and Ron, the front 9 opened in 1972.
Although hundreds of trees have been planted and many upgrades have occurred, the course layout remains virtually unchanged. The course’s rolling terrain, classical design and natural beauty make it a central Indiana must play course.
The course is relatively short playing to 6,235 yards from the Men's Tees, 69.6 rating/124 slope. The Senior and Women's Tees play to 5,988 yardsm 73.7 rating/129 slope.

BEAUTIFUL PINE TREES ON A MATURE COURSE IN ROLLING WOODS.
Wooded with no houses!
The only downside is lack of nice bunkers but that would raise the price.
